Thirty-one days later.

Another month after the last post? poor effort...

I've had a bit of a brain block for a few weeks so I've not done quite as much work as i'd have liked but here goes...

First up, i tried my hand at a bit of product embellishment. I think it turned out pretty well though i could've picked an easier frame for my first attempt! As per usual its all montana spray, posca paint markers and acrylic paint.

I've been working on the fifth character in my Elemental series for a while now but seem to have gotten stuck. The only progress I've made on it is filling in the globe.

So that I didn't spend (any more) hours just staring at it wondering how to finish it I started looking for other things to work on. The first is mostly just a test to see how the broken buildings look in paint instead of purely ink. The second is a piece I started about six months ago and since then has just sat in a corner, half-finished. It was one of the first pieces where I started playing around with the paint marker over acrylic paint.

And finally, because after doing those two pics i STILL couldn't finished the character canvas, I did a few random sketchbook pics. I stuck with the same cast but tried to change up the style. I quite like how they came out. Might see how they look on canvas or even as a two colour print?

A months worth of work!

These are a selection of pics that I'v been working on since the last proper post. Well, the bits worth showing at least... 

It's a mixture of half-done things, ideas for pieces and sketchbook scribblings.

Below is the piece I'm working on at the moment. This one's 24x12". Same deal as usual; arcylic, posca and montana spray.

Afternoon!
It's been....wow....exactly one month since my last post.....I've been busy working though! Mostly.... aside from a birthday and a snowboarding trip...
Have you ever fancied a t-shirt with a picture of a mashed up city and a mountain-thing on it? Well you are in luck my friend! At the start of the year I did a t-shirt design for the guys over at Strike Cover and they're now available to buy! Good times!

A whole bunch of bits of pics!

I've had a thought...at some point in the not too crazy distant future I'd like to put on an exhibition of my stuff but then realised that if I keep posting full pics of every new piece i make, what will be the point in people coming? Free beer, wine and cheesy biscuits? well, yeah...obviously, but you get my point. Maybe?
So here are some progress and detail shots of a few pieces I've been working on in the past two weeks.

A picture on a canvas!? Just like a REAL artist!

I've had a bunch of canvases stacked in a corner for months now. Then last weekend I decided to give one a go. I've never worked on canvas before but I think it didn't come out too badly. It's roughly 20x50x4cm. It was done with acrylics, Posca paint markers and Montana Gold spray paint.
